SOUTHERN COMBINATION CHALLENGE CUP COMPETITION 2024/2025

The competition was formed on 12 March 1958, originally including the word 'Amateur' in its title, and is run independently of any league (although has ties with the Combined Counties League). Any club within 25 miles of Weybridge eligible to apply to take part. It is not connected with the Southern Combination League, from which one club has entered this season (that's us).

This season's edition includes clubs from steps 4, 5, & 6 [no step 2, 3, or '7' sides entered this season], and from four different leagues. All this season's member clubs are parented to the Surrey FA, except Balham (London FA) and Reading City (Berks & Bucks FA).

Step 4 clubs - 3

Step 5 clubs - 10

> Wessex League, Division One - 1

The draw for the 2024/25 Southern Combination Challenge Cup Competition was made this morning in Staines, and resulted in the ties listed below. Two closing dates are given for each round - the first being the 'official' closing date, and the second being the guideline circulated to clubs. However, since it takes no priority over other competitions, these can unfortunately slip, especially if there is bad weather, or member clubs enjoy good runs in other cups.

ROUND ONE
(15.11.24 / n/a)
No ties

ROUND TWO
(15.11.24 / 30.11.24)
1: Reading City (holders) v Epsom & Ewell
2: Sheerwater v Molesey
3: Sutton Common Rovers v Balham
4: South Park (Reigate) v Horley Town
5: Leatherhead v Abbey Rangers
6: Virginia Water v Guildford City
7: Chessington & Hook United v Cobham
8: Camberley Town v Frimley Green

ROUND THREE
(28.2.25 / 28.2.25)
9: winner 8 v winner 4
10: winner 1 v winner 3
11: winner 7 v winner 6
12: winner 5 v winner 2

SEMI-FINALS
(5.4.25 / 6.4.25)
13: winner 9 v winner 10
14: winner 11 v winner 12

FINAL
(10.5.25 / 11.5.25)
15: winner 13 v winner 14

Extra time applies only in Semi-Finals and Final - otherwise drawn ties go straight top penalties after 90 minutes.
Winner of tie 13 will have first choice of ground for the Final. All of this season's entrants have floodlights, so there will be no compulsory switches of venue.

See you Tuesday night under the lights!
